How To Create Multiple Formats

To create multiple formats requires the relevant session to be formatted multiple times. This is because the format process produces a single video and/or audio file each time. To create additional formats for your session change the video settings and run format on the Formtat tab. Re-formatting also allows the recreation of previously formatted video and audio files. Repeat the steps below to produce as many video resolutions as SnapKast supports.

Reformatting a Session

  1. On the Format tab, click the Choose Session... button.
  2. Choose the formatted session in the Session Chooser dialog.
  3. Set the options and format the selected session.
  4. Once formatting begins, you may be prompted to confirm the overwrite of the existing video or audio file.

What Happens Next?

You will be taken to the Play tab where you can review, play, or share the media files created in the format step.

Any podcasts previously created with this session included will need to be recreated to include the new (or updated) media files. Simply go to the Podcast Create RSS tab to recreate the podcast.
